Bryant Odega
Bryant Odega, Ed.M. is a teacher dedicated to advancing education, labor, and climate justice. As an educator, he is committed to making education the practice of freedom by empowering his students to reach their full potential, uninhibited by systems of oppression. Outside of the classroom, Bryant has engaged in community and movement work across many issues particularly within the labor movement and the movement for climate justice. In 2022, Bryant ran a grassroots campaign on housing and climate justice and became one of the first Gen-Z and youngest Black resident to run for Los Angeles City Council. Some of his biggest inspirations are bell hooks, Dr. Carter G. Woodson, Dr. W.E.B. DuBois, Tupac Shakur, Marshall Ganz, Paulo Freire, and Shirley Chisholm.
